Recovery shoes are footwear you put on after training, not during it. Thicker sole, contoured footbed, easy to change into. Most of them use soft foam. Some, including ours, use a structured footbed instead, which we think is a better idea about what your feet should be doing afterward.
Slides have one strap across the top and nothing between your toes. Sandals add a back or ankle strap for more security over distance. Flip flops have a post between the toes, which makes your toes grip with every step. We make a slide.
Yes. Our slides are unisex, so there is one line of slides for men and women. All slides are labeled in both men's and women's sizes. And the combined sizing is clearly mapped out when ordering.
Here's how the labels work: men's run on whole sizes; women's on half sizes. For example, a M5 is a W6.5, and a M8 is a W9.5. There are more details and a helpful size chart to review when ordering.
Here's the truth: while our toe box is technically wider than most footwear, it's likely not wide enough for truly wide feet. The opposite is true for narrow feet: our expanded footbed is likely too expanded for folks with truly narrow feet.
Regardless, you can buy with confidence, because all standard U.S. shipping is FREE, including exchanges or returns.
Yes. The high-density EVA outsole is durable by design, though these are not specifically built with rough trails and hardy, rocky surfaces in mind. And while the slides are not fully waterproof and may temporarily hold moisture between the various molded pieces, they are certainly locker room-, rainy day-, and pool deck-friendly.
Start with twenty to thirty minutes for the first couple days and build up as the footbed becomes familiar. Plenty of people end up wearing them for several hours at a stretch. There is no target number.
Many customers wear them for long periods on their feet. Build up gradually rather than starting with a full shift, since the footbed is more textured than a flat sandal. If you're literally standing all day, that's less than ideal, in general, and the slides will likely become uncomfortable sooner than later if you don't walk around. Imagine getting a deep tissue massage in one single spot for hours.
The Flex 3 Fulcrum replaced them in the Flex 3 line with no major changes. Same patented footbed, some upgraded materials, and small tweaks to the strap fit. But now they come in four colors instead of just one.
